James Shepperd, Full Professor at the University of Florida (USA), was at the University of Algarve on October 31st, having held the conference entitled “When and why do people avoid information: A Summary of 15 years of research”, which was of the greatest interest to participants. This collaboration expresses the contribution of external consultants to the development of CUIP.
Students from the doctoral network and members of CUIP, from the partner universities, participated, as the session was also broadcast online.
After the conference, the doctoral student from the University of Florida, Anais Ortiz, gave a presentation entitled “Meaning and Transformation in Nature”, in which she summarized the research she is carrying out at UAlg, under the guidance of Saúl de Jesus (CUIP) and Dora Agapito (CinTurs), expressing the interdisciplinary perspective and the collaboration that exists between CUIP and other R&D Units evaluated as “Excellent” or “Very Good” by the FCT.
