CUIP Coordinator interviews APA President
Saúl de Jesus interviewed Cynthia Fuentes, the current President of the American Psychological Association (APA), the largest Psychology association in the world, and the interview, entitled “Inclusive Psychology for all”, was published in the book “Clinical and Health Psychology: An international perspective”, edited by Gualberto Buela-Casal, President of the Spanish Association of Behavioral Psychology (AEPC) and CUIP external consultant.
In this book you can find several interviews with the most important names in Psychology today, several of whom were previous presidents of the APA, such as Frank Worrell, Suzanne Johnson, Antonio Puente, Susan McDaniel, Nadine Kaslow and Thema Bryant.
This book presents an “x-ray” of current Psychology and its prospects for the future. These are in-depth interviews about the main problems and challenges of Psychology, especially in the area of Clinical and Health Psychology.
Interviewees and interviewers must have participated as keynote speakers in some edition of the International Congress of Clinical Psychology, organized by AEPC. This year the 17th edition of this congress will be held from November 13th to 15th, 2024 (https://www.clinicalpsychologycongress.com/program), with Saúl de Jesus presenting the conference entitled “Intervention for stress reduction, by the management of beliefs and healthy lifestyles”.
In addition to the interview conducted with Cynthia Fuentes, the CUIP Coordinator also conducted an interview, titled “Stress and Anxiety Study over Decades”, with Natasa Begic, President of the “Stress, Trauma, Anxiety, and Resilience Society (STAR Society)” and also member of the CUIP Advisory Board.
