On November 18th, the public presentation of “SAPIEN – South and Atlantic Pedagogical Innovation & Excellence Network” was made, the network of public Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the South of Portugal and Islands that cover 40% of Portuguese territory.

The SAPIEN Center of Excellence, created and financed by funds from the NextGeneration EU program, through the More Digital Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), of the Portuguese Republic, is committed to developing an institutional culture that stimulates innovation and pedagogical excellence, encourages sharing experiences and promoting the professional development of teaching.

This network includes the University of Algarve, the University of Madeira and the University of the Azores.

CUIP fits into this perspective of taking advantage of resources from these universities, in search of excellence in terms of research in Psychology.
