CUIP members win prize and funding for project in “Digital Health Summit 2024” competition

The project “Digital Innovations in Adult Dyslexia Diagnostics (DIADD)”, authored by Alexandra Reis, Luís Faísca and Inês Salomé Morais, was awarded 2nd place in the “Pitch Ceremony: Digital Health Summit 2024” competition.
The DIADD project proposes the development and online implementation of a platform to support the assessment and diagnosis of reading difficulties in adults. Having been one of the ten finalists, this project was defended, on November 27th, in Funchal (Madeira), by Inês Salomé Morais.
The Digital Health Summit is an annual event organized by H-INNOVA: HEALTH INNOVATION HUB and brings together health authorities, hospitals, companies, startups, universities and researchers from different countries, with the aim of boosting digital innovation and technological advances in the healthcare sector. This year, the program included lectures covering topics such as Digital Transformation in Healthcare, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare and the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT).
The event also featured a fair where companies, organizations, universities and startups presented innovative products, services and solutions in the health sector.
