CUIP Research Group Creates Lab on STEM Career Intervention Resources
Intervention in STEM Education has increasingly relied on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), so that, within the scope of the activities of the CUIP team of teachers and researchers on vocational development and career management, coordinated by Vítor Gamboa, the STEM Career Intervention Resources Laboratory (C-LABRIS) was created at FCHS of UAlg, aiming to support research and prepare educational and career resources for intervention in the STEM field, namely: audio and video editing, management of WEB platforms, construction of support systems for the exploration of career resources and decision making.
This initiative follows on from the postgraduate course “Methodologies and Tools for Intervention in STEAM Careers”, carried out by this CUIP group, and represents an important contribution within the scope of action research activities in Applied Psychology, developed within the scope of CUIP.
It is worth remembering that, as part of this group’s initiatives, a conference entitled “Professional guidance, career education and life project in Brazil” was recently held, by Lucy Leal Melo Silva, Full Professor at the University of São Paulo (Brazil), having previously been Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Professional Counseling (RBOP).
