CUIP PhD students obtain two more scholarships in the SEA-EU competition

Of the twenty doctoral scholarships awarded by the FCT to the University of Algarve, within the framework of the European University of the Seas Alliance (SEA-EU), two were obtained by doctoral students from CUIP:

  • Clarisse Campos, with the project entitled “From the playground to the Classroom: A longitudinal multimethod study of mind wandering in the transition to elementary school”, supervised by Filomena Inácio and Luís Faísca, from UAlg, with Tamara Walczak-Kozłowska, from the University of Gdansk, as an external supervisor;
  • Joana Russo, with the project entitled “Who’s Afraid of Being Judged? Parental Transmission of Fear of Negative Evaluation in Childhood”, supervised by Ana Teresa Martins and Luís Faísca, from UAlg, with Maria Kazmierczak, from the University of Gdansk, as an external supervisor.

The PhD program in Psychology at UAlg thus reinforces its relationship with the University of Gdansk, since last year Rui Zacarias, with the project entitled “The Impact of Neurofeedback on the Psychological and Physical Performance of High-Performance Athletes”, supervised by Saúl de Jesus and João Correia, had already obtained a SEA-EU scholarship, with Ilona Bidzan, from the University of Gdansk, as an external supervisor.

This is another important contribution to the internationalization of CUIP and the PhD program in Psychology at UAlg.
