Objectives

CUIP main goals are organized around four interconnected pillars:

1) Consolidate scientific excellence:
CUIP aims to sustain rigorous criteria for accepting integrated members, ensuring that scientific productivity is encouraged among all members. We will seek to power the experience and best practices existing in the research centers to which the members of CUIP belong, as well as encourage greater collaboration among CUIP members, both within the scope of the two existing research groups, Basic Psychology and Applied Psychology, as well as among the four universities represented in CUIP, aiming at the development of joint research.

2) Establish an international network:
CUIP prioritizes internationalization, promoting the organization of international meetings, active participation in global research projects, and integration of CUIP members into international networks and societies within the sphere of Psychology.
The international perspective inherent in CUIP’s research is further expressed by its external consultants from various countries.

3) Offer quality advanced training:
CUIP aims to align with the training programs offered by partner universities and encourage a relationship between research and teaching while providing high-quality advanced training to attract exceptional students and cultivate an enriching learning environment.
In addition to the existing master’s and doctoral programs at each institution, CUIP will capitalize on its members’ expertise to develop collaborative postgraduate training initiatives involving all four universities, notably in English, to enhance internationalization efforts.
It will also seek to create incentives to attract the best students, promote their integration and allow better conditions for carrying out doctoral research.
Additionally, CUIP will attempt to establish incentives aimed at attracting top-tier students, fostering their seamless integration into the academic community, and improving the conditions conducive to doctoral research pursuits.

4) Expand scientific dissemination to specialist and non-specialist audiences:
CUIP aims to enhance both the dimension of scientific publications and communications authored by its members, following open access policies. Moreover, CUIP plans to organize seminars tailored to professionals and regional entities to facilitate the transfer of knowledge to the broader community. Additionally, increasing social media and traditional media channels will be pivotal in disseminating the outcomes of the conducted research.

Ethical considerations, addressing societal challenges, and contributing to the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will remain integral aspects of the research efforts undertaken within the view of CUIP.
