CUIP researchers deepen collaborations within SEA-EU

CUIP researchers Saúl de Jesus and Rui Zacarias participated in the Staff Week “Empowering Minds: A Staff Week for Mental Health & Neuroinclusive Teaching”, held at the University of Gdansk (Poland), between April 7 and 9, where they had the opportunity to deepen their collaboration with representatives from the various universities present.

The researchers also had the opportunity to meet with Ilona Bidzan-Bluma, Professor at the University of Gdansk and co-supervisor of Rui Zacarias’ doctoral dissertation, entitled “The Impact of Neurofeedback on the Psychological and Physical Performance of High-Performance Athletes”. This thesis benefits from a SEA-EU doctoral scholarship, and is supervised by Saúl de Jesus and João Correia from UAlg.

As part of this mobility, prospects for collaboration with the Institute of Psychology at the University of Gdansk were also developed through Mariola Bidzan, Editor of the journal “Health Psychology Report”, indexed in quartile 2 of Scopus.

The SEA-EU project started in 2019, integrating 9 universities located in 28 cities in coastal regions of Europe. This European Alliance is made up of the universities of Gdansk, Algarve, Cadiz, Western Brittany, Kiel, Split, Malta, Naples and NORD, each from a different European country, but all committed to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
