CUIP's scientific productivity increased in 2025

The balance of CUIP’s scientific productivity in 2025 was very positive, and there was an increase in several indicators, especially in the number of funded research projects, the number of completed doctoral and master’s theses, as well as the number of articles published in journals indexed in Scopus, particularly in first and second quartile journals (Q1 and Q2). In this last indicator, CUIP achieved an average of more than 2 Scopus articles per integrated member, with 81.3% in Q1 or Q2 journals.
Between 2018 and 2023, the period covered by the evaluation of the R&D Units, there was a progressive increase in the various indicators, which was also verified in 2024, and this progressive increase was confirmed in 2025.
These results are very relevant for CUIP, expressing that it is on the right track and that the project planned for the period from 2024 to 2029 is being carried out.
