Researchers from CUIP featured at the III PsiBal Conference
On October 17th, the “III PsiBal Conference” was held, focusing on the theme “Science at the service of the community”.
The Algarve Psychological Health and Well-being Association (PsiBal), through the work of volunteer psychologists, has sought to contribute to the promotion of the psychological well-being of the population, with a special focus on vulnerable groups and contexts with less access to mental health care, through free psychology consultations and community intervention, in partnership with various entities, in particular the Faro City Council (CMF).
The governing bodies of PsiBal include CUIP doctoral students Pedro Pinheirinho and Mária Viegas, with CUIP Coordinator Saúl de Jesus as the Honorary President of this Association.
Among the activities carried out by PsiBal, the organization of the Conference in October stands out.
These 3rd Conference featured presentations by experts, including Jean-Christophe Giger, a member of CUIP, as well as presentations of research conducted by doctoral students. Graça Rafael, a doctoral student at CUIP, received one of the awards granted by PsiBal, sponsored by CMF.
